For the TRUE hardcore Delroy Rebop fan!
There were 2 buttons!
The 1 pictured has the red ribbon all the way to the bottom of the button BUT there was a 2nd that has a shorter red ribbon! -
Couldn’t find a Cliches button (or a sticker), but I still have to mill through some stuff.
-
I miss the guys from the band, and knowing Bill passed away hurts.
-
Simon,
driving by Captains on Monroe isn’t the same! -
no kidding – it as just bulldozed to make way for a mall.
-
What! last time I went by it look like a ghost town but was still there
-
well, that ghost town stretch has been leveled, and a nice new strip mall is going in. take a swing by and see.
-
Yep. Owned by Rob Taksen. And I worked there too. Rob was a good egg.
-
I wish I had a button that said… these comments are boring me to death.

WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH DELROY REBOP??? Listen : I remember that band was like a J Geils (and Stones, Faces R&B) bar band with lots of connections to the “new wave” bands the played Scorgies. they were TOTALLY GREAT. Maybe the best rock and roll band then aside from snot boys New Math. Who was the Cuban lead singer who would twirl his micropnone and stand on tables.! They were tight. I saw them once at the pitiful Mason Jar. they were 100% percent rock and roll. I would love to know more about those guys. they were the real deal. (the Bowery Boys were the real deal too but that’s another thread)( what was the deal a-meal with DelRoy Rebop?

Chaz,
There were U of R guys!
My dad knew them and hooked my high school band up with them.
I had been seeing them at Scorgies and The Mason Jar & on campus.
They did originals, Stones, Elvis Costello and so on!
They were all great guys also! -
Delroy Rebop was an awesome band! And ditto on them being a great bunch of guys!

Wow! I have the Delroy Rebop button with the red ribbons! Saw them at the Four Fathoms in Medina, 1982. Got to dance with the singer. Saw them again at GCC. They were AWESOME!
